A navigation trail on a website that allows you to see where the current page is, in the hierarchy/structure of a website.
This is usually displayed under the Website header and allows you to click each element to navigate the site.
Example:
You are here: Home/shop/sport/football/
or
You are here: Home/shop/sport/golf/
If you click on the “sport”element as in the above example you may be taken back to a shops sports equipment page that may look like
Sports Equipment
Football
Golf
Swimming
Tennis
You could select another sports section of the website.
