DNS or Domain Name Server Translates Domain names into an IP Address.
Domain names are alphabetical and human friendly however, the actual network address is based on IP addresses which are numerical. eg. 456.365.345.123
A DNS server is a bit like a telephone directory. Searching by name, instead of revealing a telephone number reveals an IP address. The server (computer) will automatically route you through
to the computer with that IP address. This is referred to as Domain Name resolution.
